Rivertown Ford has claimed to inspect the rear toelink and could not have considering I've felt the rear end trailing from time to time and noticed upon inspection deployed by myself visually that the driver side toelink had been cracking. When I notified Ford by phone the dealership at that time brushed me off when I finally talked them into at least doing a multi point inspection that I paid for they claimed they hadn't noticed anything. They then and since then refuse to even look at the suspension without a 300$ fee. (2 the other instance is after receiving damage to my passenger side fender and obtaining a "short" in my BCM I started to get immoberlizer messages. P161-2A incorrect message from immobilizer. I diagnosed the issue with my laptop and obd2 passthru device and after seeing the issue was from pats which by the way isn't even present in the 2013-19 Ford police interceptor sedans Ford again wanted 400$ to"diagnose" the vehicle in which I had communicated with the supervisor trying to confirm my fear of paying the amount will they be able to at least repair or be further along.they informed me that they couldn't even fix or program the issue if this is the case. After they instructed me to tow it there and having my vehicle for approximately 2 weeks they again trying to receive more money and claims of probably not going to be able to fix it by the service tech I refused to pay for any ridiculous claims of not being able to program their own Ford I then had to get the vehicle towed back to my house and after 2 months I still have the same message after PCM and BCM replacement (2 separate instances) dates are for toelink issue pats is a current issue

Took car in because of poor handling and accessove tire ware find out toe control link is bad after checking there's been a problem with that part. I think there should be a recall for safety reasons.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal vibration coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vibration was felt in the seat and steering wheel. The contact also stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the rear end of the vehicle lowered. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed that the rear suspension lateral link had detached and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 20V072000 (suspension) and stated the vehicle experienced the same failure. The dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The manufacturer informed the contact that the vehicle was not a Taurus-sho model and therefore not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 127,497.

Had the rear toe link recall performed about 2 weeks ago. Finally decided to look and the old links are still on the car. Emailed pictures to service advisor early morning called a few mins later said he get them to his GM manager asap. Never got a response decided I'd swing by on my way home. Asked what the deal was. Said they hadn't had a chance to look at it yet. Askek, can I at least have something saying it's safe to drive with these old recalled links they denied the request. Said maybe Ford changed the part and it's not what you think it should look like. Asked assistant service manager to look at the links. Explained the weld that hold the rod and bushing together is what's breaking. The new part has no weld and is once piece. She says she's not sure but it doesn't look like a new part. 73K miles of road grime still on it looking like the rest of the suspension. Well I get home and she calls me. Said I was right that is the old part and the new one is suppose to be a one piece. I say great. But she's wondering why the tech might have penciled whipped the safety recall or if possibly it was a error put my paper work clearly has notes from the tech stating toe links were replaced and alignment was performed to be in spec and test drove care and is in spec. They wanted me to come in first thing Friday morning but I can't miss more work due to there errors so Saturday is the soonest she says okay. A friend told me to fill this out. I'm not sure what I really expect from this but if it saves it from happening to someone else that doesn't know what to look for. It can save a life.

In the end of June while driving the above car, the left rear toe link/lateral arm broke while crossing a bridge on a county road aprox 45 mph causing a violent fish tail, loss of control. Inspection of the broken toe link/arm shows an old crack. This part was replaced. One month later on July 27, 2020 the right rear lateral arm/link broke while my wife was driving on a highway at speed 55-60 mph resulting in a crash causing considerable property and vehicle damage. No police report filed. A recall for this type of car is active but does not include my model. Im sure my car contains the same parts that failed. The recall numbers are campaign id 20V072000. Recall date 2020-02-11. Ford recall number 20S04. An insurance claim is in the process now.

Vehicle keeps slipping and making clunking noises when going down the highway. I didn't have this issue until a month ago and it seems to be getting worse. The guy at belle tire said the rack is a common issue with Ford Taurus'. trying to keep away from bump and turns but I have a lot when driving in grand rapids. I've almost hit cars because it randomly pulls me in one direction. Vehicle is only moving when it happens and happens both on the highway and when I'm going in reverse with the wheel turned all the way in one direction.

I own a 2013 Ford Taurus limited. I keep my vehicle well maintained by myself or the mechanic. I have has clunking sounds coming from the passenger side front end. My mechanic replaced both front struts and both sway bar links. The noise had stopped for approx: A week. Noise came back mechanic changed strut saying bad strut. Again have same problem. Details of bad clunking noise.......noise seems to be front left side, I and be parked and move steering wheel 1/4 turn left and right and hear noise. It seems to effect steering at low speeds turning. I travel 500 mile a week for work 98% highways. I have read countless complaints and no one has a solution. From others replacing steering modules, steering unit $2000, strut replacements. Control arms, wheel bearing"?????" need assistance I owe more on my car than its worth and cant afford to keep paying for a problem that has not been determined by Ford or anyone else. I hope accidents do not need to happen before this issue is taken seriously.

Driver's side rear tie rod separated at moderate speed resulting in temporary loss of control and near crash (fish tailed until car stopped). Ford dealer inspected and found drivers side rear tie rod broken at ball and socket. Ford dealer also found passenger side rear upper control arm loose. Ford dealer also found leaking passenger side, rear shock; all before 90K miles.

Purchased 2013 Ford Taurus limited new from dealer. A month after purchase, noticed terrible vibration in vehicle at highway speeds. Dealership tried to blame it on bad tires, which they replaced. Didn't solve the problem. Spoke to Ford cuts service with no resolution. Drove 2 other used Taurus' with similar results.

While driving, the wheel fell off the vehicle and the vehicle swerved. This occurred at a low speed (10mph) upon more closely inspecting the vehicle, it appears that the axle was broken off of the vehicle. I have a photo of the broken piece of the vehicle, as well as photos of the broken situation of the vehicle. This car was rented through budget rental car Agency, and I do not know if responsibility also lies with the rental car company as well.

While bringing my wife home from work, down a city street, she yelled out to me to watch out...deer! automatically, I looked to the right in people yards and wooded are, then left, only to find them just slight to my right form the center of our car. At this point I knew the brakes were in great shape. However these halogen projection headlights have a decent pattern, but are like having two candles. Why is it my 2006 Mercury montego had factory hid headlights and now 7 years later they went backwards, as other cars are now using led headlights" this was not the only time. The next time my wife noticed a person walking in the road, why who knows" except I am not happy with what I think is politics Ford is doing. These lighting system is so bad if I had the high beams on while driving with on coming traffic nobody blinks at me. (I know this should not be done for safety reasons, but I had to prove to myself that it's not just me due to the change over from hid to halogen lighting. Ps) today March 14 2014, I wrote thru the website planet feedback to the CEO of Ford over this issue. I already mentioned this on surveys Ford gave me when I purchased the auto, and mentioned it to the dealership.

My 2013 Ford Taurus sel has terrible vibration at all speeds and does it everyday Ford had the engineer come out 8 to 10 times they even keeper my 2013 Taurus sel for 3 weeks and called us and told us they were going to buy it back because they have tried six sets of tires and wheels and they don't know what's wrong with it well they keep it another week and me and my wife to out to find out what's going on they hand us the keys and say that Ford is not taking it back and they can't figure out what's wrong with it. The crazy thing about it the engineer went to three other dealer ships and could not find another 2013 Taurus sel that road smooth he went to oxmoor Ford and got another 2013 Taurus just like ours and was bringing it to the dealer where mine was to compare them and when he got to our dealer this is what he said to these are his exact words ( it felt like the wheels were going to fly off on the way up to our dealership he said he thought he was going to have to have it towed to the dealer because the vibration was so bad and was a brand new one from another dealer and this is the exact words out of Ford engineer and he told us Ford has to buy it back because they are so bad he even put in his report for Ford to buy it back and Ford screwed us. Ford has a mayor problem with the 2013 Ford Taurus sel vibration and needs to be held accountable. Please help an investigation needs to be done its very bad thanks.
